School, Adventures, Field Trips, and Late Night Shenanigans

Welcome to Sinchon
City lights at night for Sinchon. Seoul pretty much never sleeps here.
Just some random photos are Ewha Women University which is about 2 minutes away from Yonsei.
Kind of weird path to class. The classrooms are on the left and right.
Just another walkway
Dorms
The streets of Edae. The perfect place for cheap shopping for girls..
I know I shouldn't be eating fried chicken in Korea but damn these were good.
Cheap pitcher of Kiwi Soju. Mmmm. SO good.
Mr. Pizza. Its expensive its pretty good. Sweet potato crust with a mix of seafood.
A few side dishes to go along with our early morning breakfast. Kimchi, tofu, peppers, veggies, and spicy octopus.
More goodies. Soup, bean sprouts of kochujang, pickled veggies, and acorn jelly.
Get a bowl or rice, mix it together and you get a nice hearty meal.
After a whole afternoon of river rafting in heavy rain, we enjoyed some all you can eat samgyupsal. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. MMMM.
The sauces and ingredients to mix and eat together with your samgyupsal.
ALL YOU CAN EAT!!
A quick fried rice with the samgyupsal, soy/chili paste and onions and other veggies. Sorry I don't remember the Korean name for it.
Sandwich from Paris Baguette. It is extremely popular over here.
Light salad, with bell peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers. Drizzled with a pineapple vinaigrette.
Black sesame and coconut milk soup. Don't really want to call it a soup because its more pasty than soupy. But still very good.
Looks like jelly fish but its not. Some kind of jelly though.
Some Korean egg-batter pancakes and red bean wraps.
Delicious roast samgyupsal.
Samgyupsal stew. I think it was in a soy-based broth. This was one of THE most delicious dishes I've had yet.
Sashimi. Very fresh and very good.
Meat that melts off the bone. Unbelievably good..
Sorry. Blurry picture but grilled marinated eel.
Plum juice
View from our restaurant. It was pretty cloudy and rainy this day but it made river rafting that much more fun.
So after river rafting we went to the village and explored around a little
Of course there would be some weird statues.
A swing in a village?
bunny and cheekan
om nom
The monorail that we took all the way up the mountain to go cave exploring
Lets just say this thing doesn't move very fast.... at all.
After we got to the top of the mountain where the entrance was, we descended deep into the cave
Steeper than it looks
But after a lot of walking and climbing we arrived...
At... a domo-kun looking machine?? wtf?
And some Han Solo imitations?...
jk.. haha There were a lot of amazing stalactites.
Tons of amazing rock formations
The water just shapes all of these pillars
More, more, more

So...
Do you think so?
Yeah... so what do you think this looks like..
Welcome to Stephen's dream palace. But actually its just where we had a $75 per person lunch.
Looks almost like a palace in here

After lunch we just went down the street to a flea market sort of thing but for food.
Selling all different kinds of things

I think this is the cocoons of silk worm larva.
Vegetable jeon and red bean cakes

Goodbye Young Wol and Jung Sun... until the next time... which may be never.

And we can't forget the Engrish Section..

Not really engrish but I just found some of these things interesting

OJ with pulpy!
Just an ordinary ticket office
The last toilet... evar.
n of the go d mine? I don't even know what they were trying to say here
what?
what???
Shining surfases and cleavage planes?

I guess thats it for now. I've been on a lot of adventures but school has been a bit tough. Already pulled an allnighter 3 weeks into the school year. Hopefully that won't happen too often. Until next time errbady!

And seriously yay to the awesome EAP Advisors for planning the trip and the rest of EAP for a great time.
